Hello, everyone! After another jam-packed week on our UX journey, it's time for another update. Week 7 was monumental for our team as we delved into the world of user testing. The insights we gathered were enlightening and invaluable for refining Sustainista's digital presence.

User Testing Insights

User testing was the cornerstone of our efforts this week. We used a two-fold approach—'Think Aloud Technique' and 'Task-based Testing'—to gather in-depth user feedback. From initial impressions to specific feature interactions, we explored multiple facets of user engagement with the website. We meticulously noted down all the feedback, bypassing numerical scores for qualitative data that offered richer insights.

Iterative Design

Equipped with valuable user feedback, we revised various elements of the website, focusing on improving its usability while maintaining its visual appeal. A significant portion of our redesign efforts was channeled into making the navigation more intuitive and enriching the content about Sustainista. Our aim was to build a higher degree of trust and clarity for the users.

One-Pager: A Quick Reference Guide

A highlight of the week was the creation of a One-Pager, a concise yet comprehensive document summarizing our key methods and findings. This included a special section called 'Handlungsempfehlung,' capturing specific suggestions from users on improving the website content and structure.

Presentation Day

We summed up our findings in a detailed presentation. It began with an initial review of our prototype and concluded with the changes we've made based on the invaluable feedback from our user testing.

Learnings from User Testing

  • First Impressions: Although our initial design had merits, it needed further refinement.
  • Ease of Use: Users found the website useful but felt that some features could be more intuitive.
  • Design: Despite some navigation issues, the visual design was well-received, scoring 4 out of 5 in the SUS test.

Subsequent Iterations

Based on the gathered data, we streamlined the navigation, enriched the content, and made the pricing details less aggressive but more effective.

Concluding Thoughts and The Importance of Feedback

As we wrap up the final week of our project with Sustainista, I'd like to underscore the irreplaceable role of feedback in our journey. This user-driven feedback was not just instrumental in pointing us in the right direction; it elevated our designs from merely functional to truly exceptional. It served as a roadmap, steering the design and interface improvements we made throughout this process.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey—your insights have been invaluable. The project would not have reached the heights it did without your contributions. As we close this chapter, I invite you to share your thoughts, questions, or feedback in the comments below.

Auf Wiedersehen!
